Carol's journey started with photography classes and her first Canon camera, a brand loyalty that continues today. Her initial work photographing cancer patients and their families evolved into event and portrait photography before gravitating toward her current passion: nature and the environment. From her home in Delaware, where the ocean meets the bay, Carol has found her creative voice through landscapes, still life, and locally sourced produce.

"Red River has super customer service and even assisted me with my recent Canon printer purchase," Carol shares. This support has been crucial as she transitions from outsourcing prints to handling production in her own studio. "[Red River Paper] produces beautiful prints," she notes, particularly for her greeting card line and 8x10 prints. Whether you're looking for a high-gloss, non-reflective matte, or a textured linen surface, we have the variety and quality you're looking for in greeting card papers and art print papers.

World Photography Day is August 19, the date in 1839 when the French government officially announced the daguerreotype process to the world. Photography, as we know it, was literally declared a gift to humanity. That spirit still lives in every image shared today. At Red River Paper, we believe a photograph's life isn't complete until it's printed. A file is potential; a print is the thing itself. Today, honor the craft: print something. And if you share it, tag us. We'd love to see what World Photography Day looks like through your lens. The 2026 theme is HOME. 🏡

Jonathan Grado grew up surrounded by creation. His mother and grandfather were both painters, and his family's business, Grado Labs, has been handcrafting headphones for decades. During Sunday dinners at the home of his grandparents, whose walls were covered in art, something was quietly taking root. Then his parents gave him a yellow Minolta, and suddenly he found his own way to create.

For Jonathan, the physical print is where the work fully arrives. While experimenting with his ongoing "Misprint" series, he worked through most of Red River Paper’s base and fine art sample packs, printing identical images across papers to see the differences.

The result of his test drives? Palo Duro Softgloss Rag has become a go-to. Made from 100% cotton rag with a lightly textured semigloss surface, it sits in that rare middle ground between matte and luster — exactly how Jonathan describes it.

Red River Paper is pleased to announce our sponsor role for the Texas Photographic Society's exhibition The Big Picture, a showcase of image makers whose work will be shown at large scale at the Arlington Museum of Art.

Prints for the show were made on UltraPro Luster 300.

Juried by internationally acclaimed photographer, educator, and 2012 Guggenheim Fellow Dornith Doherty, the exhibition explores how photography transforms when presented at monumental size.

The exhibition opens Friday, August 7, 2026, with a public reception with the juror from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Arlington Museum of Art in Arlington, Texas. The exhibition will remain on view through November 1, 2026. This exhibition is made possible by the generous support of Fort Worth Camera + The Print Refinery and Red River Paper.

On any given day, you may find Justin Tedford navigating Iowa's winding back roads, his car coated in gravel dust, capturing the essence of what many dismiss as a "fly-over state." Justin's artistic vision was formed while growing up in the hills and farmlands of Harrison County, Iowa, amid the charming rural communities that infuse his work with a sense of place and authenticity.

Justin's mission to document Iowa's farm communities demands prints that honor each depiction with exceptional quality. He relies on Red River Paper's Aurora Art White 300 for its balance of affordability and professional-grade results.

Explore Justin's captivating Midwest landscapes at www.tedfordphoto.com, where you'll also discover his photo books on Iowa and the iconic Route 66.
