During a virtual coffee chat, a fellow marketing strategist asked me something that made me giggle.
She said, “Do you show up with clients wearing your head wrap?”
I said most definitely… because this is ME.
I don’t wear head wraps because my hair isn’t done.
I wear them because they’re part of my style, my culture, and how I feel most like myself.
And when I work with my clients, I show up the same way, authentically.
That means we might laugh during our calls.
I might crack a joke.
Your services will definitely be customized.
Because building systems, strategy, and structure for someone’s business isn’t just about software… it’s about trust.
And trust grows when people know they’re working with a real person. Do I hold some parts of myself just for me? Yes. However, I am always going to be ME!
So during Women’s History Month, here’s a reminder:
You don’t have to shrink, edit, or water yourself down to be taken seriously.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do in business is simply show up as yourself.
Head wrap and all.
