You need to stop doing this.

I see people skipping steps all the time.

They are inviting and presenting at the same time.

They are presenting and closing at the same time.

They are trying to explain every detail before the prospect is even interested.

There is an order to everything.

Invite.
Present.
Close.
Get them started.

The more you mix the steps, the more confused people become.

Keep it simple. Trust the process. Follow the sequence.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is trying to become the leader before they have learned from one.

They get a little success and immediately want their own system, their own training, and their own way of doing things.

But if you are fortunate enough to have a great leader and a proven system, plug in and learn.

Master the fundamentals before you try to reinvent them.

There will be plenty of time to lead others.

For now, focus on becoming the kind of person worth following.

Why?

Because events change people.

They create belief.
They build confidence.
They help people see what is possible.

A lot of leaders spend all of their time trying to motivate their team themselves when they could be plugging their people into an environment that does it for them.

The more your team is connected to the culture, the vision, and the people around them, the stronger your team becomes.

Instead of asking, “Why can’t I?” start asking, “How can I?”

Most of the time, it is simply you versus you.

Ask yourself, “How would I act if I were already the person I want to become?”
