There is freedom in ridding yourself of what you don't need. Gifting, donating, or selling items that are of no use to you but still useful is uplifting and freeing. You help others and free your space to become what you truly need it to be.

House RULES of 2020: Rule #8 Recylce. Reduce. Reuse.
We are responsible for our own sustainability. Recycle, reduce, and reuse not only saves the earth but also your pockets. Many products can be reused or recycled within the home. Rethink what you discard and how it is discarded. Also reducing consumption of products and materials saves your pockets.

House RULES of 2020: Rule #7 Complete the tasks you start.
When organzizing your space start in one area. Remove everyhting from that space. Sort into keep, sell, give, or trash piles. Put back only what belongs in that space in categories.
Everything that does not belong should be sent to the correct place for storage.

If you have a family everyone should participate in keeping it clean and organized. No matter their ability or age, assistance is possible. Be willing to teach and let others participate at their level of assistance.

You create excess clutter when you buy repeats or have multiple of the same items. Creating organization within your home limits the need of purhasing excess because you can use what you have.

House RULES of 2020: Rule #4 Shred/recycle documents as soon as you receive them.

When opening mail and documents you know you do not need shred or recycle when receive to keep documents from piling up.

The best time to do what is required is now. Clean your spaces when you see the need. There will be times you can't stop to clean because of other responsibilities but when you are home and availalble get it out of the way.

How do we tackle the clutter in our homes and lives?

These are all the questions asked when we're supporting new clients.

So with some humor, love, and experience we've developed 'House Rules of 2020'

Today we focus on Rule #1
If you own it, use it; if you don't use it, let it go!

As you are facing your day to day lives, remove the unnecesary weight and if you don't use it let it go. If you have items that you reserve for special occasions realize you are the special occasion and enjoy what you have.
