In celebration of International Women's Day, Surefox is proud to feature Assistant Program Manager Cori Smith, who began her tenure with Surefox in 2019 as an Executive Protection Agent.
Cori’s career path to Surefox started as a firefighter/EMT. She found herself in short term security roles including being a bouncer. She was a campus security agent for a middle school who had no campus security for three years and developed their on-campus security program. Her big push to the security industry happened when she was asked to be a part of a mega church’s security program. What began as a volunteer position quickly turned into a PPD role. The intensive training from former Secret Service and CIA agents sparked a fire in Cori. She realized she loved the work and training.
“I became a SLED Security Officer Instructor and fi****ms Instructor, CCW instructor and women's self-defense coach. I was made aware of the need for female EP agents I attended reputable EP schools to develop my training. That was in 2014 and I haven't looked back! Jessica Jasper and I attended ESI together in 2017. She was with Surefox at the time and shared how much she enjoyed the company, founders and mission. Surefox is not "big box" security. It is very boutique and strives to make each program unique to its client. Surefox is also very "employee-centric". Being Veteran owned, they have taken the good things from the military and used those principles to run the business. We operate in a way that has allowed us to pull from our previous experiences in service and find a common language here that you can't find in traditional civilian work cultures.”
