Most churches think there's one thing standing between them and their next season. The logo. The LED screen. The parking lot.
But it's usually not the one thing. A brand that's gone stale or an experience that's fallen flat is often just a symptom of something deeper: a church that's drifted from its connection with people.
Sometimes the most clarifying move is to strip it all back. Like an elimination diet for ministry. Clear away everything extra and ask honestly: is what's left still doing what it's supposed to do?
Because underneath all of it is the thing you were actually called to: looking into the eyes of the person you've been praying would walk through your doors, and meeting them right where they are. Loving them too much to leave them there.
That's the heart of it. And it's worth clearing everything else out to get back to it.
