Our body of knowledge is complemented by more than 25 years of work experience. Moving through the ranks as production structural fabricators and welders, leadmen, and shop inspectors. We gained most of our exposure as 3rd party inspectors on CTDOT projects such as I-95 (2000); government projects such as the University of New Haven (CT 2004); and on Western Connecticut State University Stadium (C
T 2003). We soon came to understand the meaning of STRESS, both the state of mental or emotional strain and the ORIGINAL acronym from STR(uctural) E(ngineering) S(ystems) S(olver), by overseeing QA/QC for an aggressive fabricator with four er****on crews. Change was inevitable, time management and continuous process improvement was a necessity both for the personnel and the organization. We are graduates of the prestigious Hobart Institute of Welding Technology and are certified welding inspectors. Our first brush with a true quality management system was with AISC's certification to the old check list (3 years and zero corrective actions), and the most memorable was coming to understand and implement AISC's new building standard under the guidance of Terry Logan (QMC lead auditor). We are members of The American Society for Quality (ASQ) and not only are we Six Sigma Green Belts, we have a seat on the regional committee (2006). We completed the "Continuing Education for Welding Inspectors and CWI's" and our latest accomplishment was the completion of the "Internal Auditing & Auditing Program and Design for Steel Fabricators". Our latest endeavors are standardizing operations, training welders and documenting the AWS D1.2 requirements prior to and during the construction of the US-Mexico Border "Wall" (Virtual Fence), we are applying that same service to the new LPD 17 Amphibious Ship (San Antonio Class) and Zumwalt Class (DDG-1000) destroyer. In 2021 we completed with success the over-site of the manufacturing and quality assurance of (first of their kind) Pig Launcher as a customer service representative for RINA with SBM Off Shore as the Customer.
