My sincerest apologies for not being as active on this page as I have been focusing more so on my photography. Once I get more established with my photography business I plan on finishing up projects and continuing to do the pieces that I enjoy making. Photography has been a passion of mine for years, and there's nothing I love more than preserving the moments that become your favorite memories. Whether it's a growing family, a golden summer evening, a milestone, or simply the beauty of everyday life, I'm honored every time someone trusts me to tell their story.

Windy Hill is more than just a business—it's a legacy. The name was inspired by my grandmother's photography business (also painted on the roof of a hog barn where I grew up), and I'm proud to carry that tradition forward right here in Danvers, Minnesota.

The seasons that tested you…
the prayers that seemed unanswered…
the battles you never thought you’d overcome…

They weren’t sent to destroy you.

They were shaping you.

God often does His deepest work in the hardest seasons. While it may feel like you’re being broken, He is actually building strength, faith, wisdom, and resilience that couldn’t be developed any other way.

One day you’ll look back and realize that what felt like a setback was preparation.

What felt like breaking was becoming.

And what felt like the end was really God building the foundation for something greater. 🤍

I just wrapped up a set of curtains for a client/friend of mine. These were 84" and I cut them them down to hem at 34" for the new tax office she wanted to keep and put these in. It always feels good to give a second life especially to curtains when they can get so expensive.

I even salvaged the extra material and she has custom 45" curtains to go on her doors as well.

🖤 Steel meets the storm.🖤

As dark clouds gathered overhead and the wind began to whisper through the trees, this freight train rolled steadily through the countryside—unfazed by the weather brewing above. There's something timeless about the contrast of raw nature and human engineering, both powerful in their own way.

The deep storm clouds, rustic tones, and quiet anticipation in the air created a scene that felt straight out of another era. Moments like these remind me why I always keep my camera close.

🍃 I made pretty good headway on finishing up some simple farmhouse hand painted signs. Onto the last one, and more coming soon.
