âď¸ Summer is supposed to feel relaxing... but for many people, it can actually bring a whole new layer of stress.
Between changing routines, childcare challenges, vacations, social obligations, financial pressures, and trying to "make the most" of the season, summer can leave us feeling overwhelmed rather than refreshed.
At Brittneyâs Counseling PLLC & Damiana Health PLLC, we encourage a collaborative approach to stress management:
đż Protect your routines when possible. Consistent sleep, movement, hydration, and nourishment help regulate both mood and energy.
đ§ Give yourself permission to set boundaries. You don't have to attend every event or say yes to every invitation.
đ Check in with your emotional needs. Stress often shows up as irritability, anxiety, fatigue, or feeling disconnected from yourself.
đ§ Build small moments of restoration into your week, whether that's counseling, mindfulness, Reiki, breathwork, time in nature, or simply a few quiet minutes to yourself.
đ¤ Remember that support is a strength. Mental health care and integrative wellness practices can work together to help you navigate life's busy seasons.
âď¸ This summer, focus less on doing it all and more on creating a season that supports your well-being.
đ What is one thing you're doing this summer to protect your peace?
