Prior to parenthood, I enjoyed a long and successful career as an Account Executive of Advertising and Marketing for Dunn & Bradstreet, where I earned membership into the exclusive D&B Quota Club, and was consistently named Account Executive of the month. In order to stay at home with my young children, I then switched gears and began writing a self-syndicated Christian humor column which was publ
ished in print and digital media around the world. I was also published in five anthologies of inspirational work, and won several writing awards through Faithwriter's magazine, where I eventually took a position as their Humor Editor. From there, I took up the pursuit of screenwriting and finished in the top ten percent of the Academy Awards' prestigious Nichols Fellowship for Screenwriting
Wanting to work in a more visual medium, I turned to a life-long love of photography, and have been honored with many awards, including the United States NOAA Photo Challenge, and those sponsored by various publishing houses, such as Wiley Books. These endeavors led to a love for graphic design and video production, which allowed me to help small businesses in their marketing efforts -- and that has brought me full circle. Now, with our children grown and moved on, I am *mostly* retired, but I do take on a limited number of clients per year, only where I am most needed, to help local businesses and people create their own "once upon a time" through words, portraits, and graphic design. In the meantime, I enjoy life on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, with my best friend/husband, and our little dog, Ollie.
