The factory metal frame filters for Carrier air handlers are typically washable, aluminum mesh pre-filters (frequently associated with HK/KFAFK part numbers). In up flow configurations, these filters are usually placed in a bottom-mounted rack.

Filter Sizing: The metal filter's physical dimensions (like 16"x21.5", 20"x21.5", or 13"x21.5") are specific to your exact cabinet width (024, 030, 036, 042, etc.). Always verify your unit's exact slot measurements.
