☀️🏛️ From the first practical silicon solar cell to the first state solar recycling law: NJ is doing it again.

Senator Andy Kim toured Commercial Solar Panel Recycling's Warren County facility as part of his Einstein Corridor initiative, spotlighting New Jersey's role as the first state in the nation to require solar panel recycling under S3399. CSPR, the state's only permitted solar panel recycler, walked the senator through the de-manufacturing process and the bigger challenges around reuse, logistics and critical mineral recovery as it expands its footprint into New York, the Midwest and California.

Now THIS is recycling! ♻️☀️

We thought this was pretty cool — a new facility is being planned specifically to recover valuable materials from end-of-life solar panels and give them another life.

As a company that builds carts for the recycling and material handling industries, we always enjoy seeing new ways materials are being recovered, reused and kept out of landfills.

Pretty amazing how recycling continues to evolve!

☀️🇺🇸 America's first dedicated critical materials recovery plant for solar panels is coming, and it's a big deal for the domestic supply chain.

We Recycle Solar has announced plans for the nation's first end-to-end critical materials recovery facility for retired solar panels, launching in Texas in Q3 2027. The plant will recover up to 96% of the silver, copper, silicon, aluminum and glass from end-of-life panels entirely on U.S. soil, tackling a growing problem: an estimated 90% of America's old solar panels currently end up in landfills or get shipped overseas for processing, taking valuable critical materials out of the domestic supply chain with them.

A 15% increase in e-waste collections? Now that’s a number worth celebrating! ♻️👏

This year, 220 tons of electronic waste were collected across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula—helping keep old electronics out of landfills and giving those materials a better place to go.

Here at Bomac Carts, we celebrate efforts that keep more materials out of landfills and support smarter recycling. We’re proud to provide material handling solutions that help recycling operations collect, sort and move materials every day.

📺 220 tons of electronic waste. That's how much Michigan's Upper Peninsula collected this year, a 15% jump from last summer, and the Lake Superior Watershed Partnership says it comes down to a simple combination: education plus convenience.

Pop-up collection sites have been popping up in towns across the U.P. all summer, giving residents an easy way to responsibly get rid of old electronics.
