Deadline for possible base acre changes is quickly approaching! If you have any questions about your base acres please reach out to your agent and the FSA as soon as possible. We are here to help!

The countdown is on! Only two weeks left for landowners to review and consider base acre increases on farms enrolled in Agriculture Risk Coverage or Price Loss Coverage.

After reviewing the Base Allocation Summary, landowners should contact their local FSA office by Aug. 31, 2026, if acreage history data is incorrect or missing, there are “subsequent acres” listed and you would like to choose the subsequent acreage for base allocation, or to opt out of receiving any additional base acres.

The application period for the Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Block Grant is open.
The $38 million in federal aid will help cover four types of Hurricane Helene losses that aren’t covered by other USDA programs or crop insurance: infrastructure loss, market loss, future economic loss, and timber loss. Only losses in counties with a Presidential Disaster Declaration for Hurricane Helene are eligible.
