"Giver's Gain" Philosophy: The primary mission is based on the idea that by giving business to others, you will get business in return.

One Member Per Category: Each BNI chapter allows only one person per professional specialty (e.g., one residential realtor, one estate attorney, one plumber). This eliminates competition within the group and ensures all relevant referrals go to that specific member.

Weekly Meetings: Chapters meet once a week (often early in the morning) to follow a strict agenda. Members give short "elevator pitches" (usually 60 seconds) to explain what they do and exactly what kind of referral they are looking for that week.

Accountability: Attendance and participation are tracked. Members are expected to actively look for business opportunities for their fellow chapter members and meet for one-on-one "coffee chats" to deepen professional relationships.
