Curious how all the music at Alternating Currents comes together? Kate sites down with the team and tells ya all about it!

Download the Alternating Currents App and start planning your schedule for Aug. 13-16!

🎶 How does Alternating Currents bring so many artists, venues and performances together across the Quad Cities?

For Kate Dale, co-founder of Hive Event Consulting, it starts months before festival weekend with nearly 500 artist submissions, countless scheduling decisions and one giant lineup puzzle. From matching performers with the right venues to coordinating production crews, navigating weather and keeping hundreds of moving parts on track, Kate and Hive partner Jason Gilliland help bring the music of Alternating Currents to life.

Her favorite part? Watching festival goers discover an artist they have never heard before and leave as a new fan. ✨

“It’s free, it’s a choose-your-own-adventure, and it truly is a way to get to know your own hometown backyard.”
