A few quick tips:
- Fill empty space in the freezer with sealed water bottles to help keep things cold.
- If the power goes out, don’t open the fridge unless you have to. Two hours with a rising temp can mean toss-or-keep decisions.
- After power returns, check temps. If perishable food warmed above 40 F for more than two hours, play it safe and discard.
