Rain on the radar again? Time for a quick appliance check before the storms roll through.

Keep fridge and freezer doors shut as much as possible. That’s the biggest thing to protect your food.

A few quick tips:
- Fill empty space in the freezer with sealed water bottles to help keep things cold.
- If the power goes out, don’t open the fridge unless you have to. Two hours with a rising temp can mean toss-or-keep decisions.
- After power returns, check temps. If perishable food warmed above 40 F for more than two hours, play it safe and discard.

If your fridge or freezer won’t cool right after a storm, or your washer or dryer starts acting up from the humidity, we can help. ARS Appliance Repair handles kitchen and laundry appliances for neighbors across South Florida.

How are you prepping your kitchen for this round of weather? Any local tips to share?

Labor Day is a week away. Who's firing up the grill and who’s escaping to the beach?

Quick heads up for anyone hosting: nothing kills a cookout faster than a fridge that’s running warm, an ice maker that’s slow, or a dishwasher that won’t finish the post-party load. We’re starting to get calls to squeeze in quick checks before the long weekend, so if something feels off, it helps to get it looked at now.

What are you cooking this year — burgers, seafood, or going full takeout?

Appliance repair is easy to underestimate until the same work orders keep coming back.

We recently published a South Florida property manager case study showing how one 142-unit rental portfolio improved appliance repair costs, callback rates, quote speed, and documentation after routing work orders through ARS Repair Inc.

Over 12 months, the portfolio saw:
• 22.3% lower average invoice per closed appliance ticket
• Callback rate reduced from 14.2% to 4.8%
• Average time to written quote improved from 1.8 days to 6.2 hours
• $96,707 in combined hard and estimated soft savings
• 89% first-trip completion across appliance work orders

The biggest takeaway was not just faster repair.
It was the workflow.

Single intake. Better model and photo details. Written quotes before major parts orders. Tenant scheduling after authorization. Clear close-out documentation with invoices, photos, and warranty terms.

For property managers, landlords, HOAs, and multifamily teams, appliance repair costs are not only about the service call. They are also about repeat visits, owner approvals, access issues, tenant complaints, and turnover delays.

Fourth of July weekend is almost here — who else is already planning the menu?

If you’ve got family coming in or a condo full of guests, now’s a good time to clear fridge and freezer space, double‑check the ice maker, and make sure the oven and dishwasher are ready for the after-party cleanup.

Quick local tip: with our South Florida heat, keep cooler doors shut as much as possible while you prep. It saves the ice and keeps the fridge from working overtime.

What are you cooking this year — burgers and corn, whole fish, or something Cuban? Share your plan and any prep tips below. If an appliance acts up, we handle refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, washers and dryers around town.

A dishwasher full of standing water is not the midweek surprise anyone wants.

With South Florida’s summer routine in full swing, kids at home, extra cups in the sink, and rainy afternoons keeping everyone inside, the dishwasher gets used hard.

If it’s not draining, leaving food behind, or making a grinding sound, it’s usually worth having an appliance technician take a look before it turns into a bigger kitchen mess.

ARS Repairs helps homeowners across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade with reliable dishwasher repair and local appliance service.

Sometimes the small signs are the appliance asking for help.

South Florida heat is here and your fridge is the first to notice.

Heat and humidity make refrigerators and freezers work harder. Quick checks that can save you headaches:
• Keep fridge 37–40°F and freezer about 0°F.
• Don’t overload with hot food. Let things cool a bit first.
• Wipe the door seals and make sure they close tight.
• Give a few inches of space behind the unit for airflow.
• If your ice maker is slow, check the water line and dispenser area for buildup.

Anyone seeing more condensation or warm spots lately? Tell us what’s acting up and where you live roughly. If your refrigerator, freezer, or ice maker is on the fritz, ARS Appliance Repair can come take a look before food loss becomes a bigger problem.
