Standing water in the dishwasher hits different on a humid South Florida Wednesday.

With rainy season routines, kids home for summer, and the kitchen getting used all day, a dishwasher that won’t drain can go from annoying to messy pretty fast.

If you’re seeing water at the bottom, hearing grinding sounds, or noticing dishes coming out worse than they went in, it’s worth having it checked before the problem backs up further.

ARS Repairs helps homeowners across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade with reliable dishwasher repair and local appliance service that keeps the week moving.

Not glamorous, but definitely one of those fixes you’re glad you handled.

Father's Day is this Sunday. Anyone planning a big family meal or a backyard get-together?

South Florida heat means the fridge and freezer will be working overtime, and nothing ruins a celebration faster than a warm fridge or a dishwasher that won't finish the final rinse. Two quick checks to do today:

1) Fridge temp. Aim for 40°F or below and avoid standing with the door open while you prep.
2) Dishwasher and ice maker. Clean the dishwasher filter and give the ice bin a quick rinse so drinks stay cold.

If your refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, oven, dishwasher, washer, or dryer is acting up before the weekend, send us a message. We can usually fit in last-minute appointments.

How are you celebrating Dad this year — grilling, takeout, or letting someone else handle the dishes?

Rainy-season laundry in South Florida can make a weak dryer show itself fast.

If towels are still damp after one cycle, or the laundry room feels hotter and muggier than usual, it may not just be the humidity.

Dryers that take too long can point to airflow problems, heating issues, worn parts, or a venting concern that needs a proper look.

With kids home for summer and afternoon storms rolling through, laundry piles up quickly. That’s usually when homeowners notice the dryer isn’t keeping up.

ARS Repairs helps with local dryer repair across Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and nearby South Florida areas.

If your dryer is working harder than it should, it’s worth getting it checked before it turns into a bigger repair.

Afternoon storms rolling through South Florida again? Same here.

Quick fridge and freezer tips if the power flickers or you get a longer outage:
• Keep fridge and freezer doors shut. A full freezer can stay cold up to about 48 hours if unopened. A refrigerator will usually hold safe temps for around 4 hours.
• Put a thermometer in the fridge. If it climbs above 40°F for more than 2 hours, throw out perishable food.
• Freeze bottles of water to add to coolers or to help keep the freezer cold longer.

If the power comes back and your fridge or freezer sounds off or is not cooling like it used to, we can come take a look and help save what we can.

Humid South Florida Mondays are rough enough without a washer leaving water in the drum.

With rainy season, beach towels, work clothes, and kids home for summer, the laundry pile builds fast. If your washer isn’t draining or the clothes come out soaking wet, running another cycle usually doesn’t solve the real problem.

It could be a drain issue, pump problem, or something in the spin cycle that needs a proper look.

That’s the point where a local appliance technician can save you a lot of frustration.

ARS Repairs helps homeowners across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade with washer repair and other residential appliance repair, without the runaround.

Rain every afternoon again — anyone else feel like the laundry pile is multiplying?

Summer rainy season in South Florida means damp clothes, longer drying times, and that musty smell in front-loading washers. Quick tips that help here: leave the washer door propped open between loads, run a hot tub-clean cycle once a month, and try smaller loads so things actually tumble and dry.

If your washer still smells, won't drain, or your dryer is taking forever to finish, give us a shout. We fix washers and dryers and can help get your laundry routine back to normal.

Where are you drying things when it pours — balcony, spare room, or wrestling with a drying rack? Tell us your best trick.

If the fridge feels a little too warm after a South Florida grocery run, pay attention.

Hot, humid June Sundays are rough on refrigerators, especially with kids home for summer, doors opening all day, and the kitchen getting busier than usual.

Warm shelves, soft freezer items, water pooling, or food spoiling faster than it should can all point to a cooling issue that needs a real diagnosis.

ARS Repairs helps homeowners across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade with reliable refrigerator repair and local appliance service that’s straightforward and professional.

A fridge problem usually starts small.

It rarely stays that way.

Hurricane season is here and those sudden summer downpours mean one thing for South Florida homes: power blips.

Quick tips: keep fridge and freezer doors shut during an outage. A full freezer can hold its temperature about 48 hours, a half full one closer to 24. Refrigerators usually stay safe for up to 4 hours without power. If you’re unsure, use a food thermometer or look for ice crystals in frozen items.

If power comes back and your fridge or freezer won’t cool like it used to, give it a little time to settle. If it still won’t come down to temperature, call us — we handle refrigerators, freezers and ice makers.

How did your freezer hold up last hurricane season? Any tips you swear by?

Saturday ice runs out fast when your ice maker decides to quit in South Florida humidity.

Between kids home for summer, weekend cookouts, and afternoon storms rolling through, a weak ice maker gets noticed pretty quickly.

If it’s making tiny cubes, leaking into the bin, freezing over, or not dropping ice at all, it usually needs more than a reset.

ARS Repairs handles ice maker and freezer appliance repair across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade with clear diagnostics and straightforward service.

Worth getting checked before the next bag-of-ice run becomes part of your weekend routine.

Afternoon downpour rolling through again? Quick freezer fridge tip for anyone dealing with summer storms.

Keep fridge and freezer doors shut as much as you can. A full freezer stays cold longer than a half-full one, and every minute the door is open lets cold air out. If the power flickers, avoid loading hot food back in right away.

If you do lose power for hours, use coolers and ice for anything super perishable, and check your fridge temps once power’s back. Smell or texture changes in food are a good reason to toss it.

How did your neighborhood hold up today? If your refrigerator or ice maker starts acting up after the storms, give us a shout and we’ll take a look this week.
