ays detect apoptosis and assess cellular physiology; FLICA caspase assays are becoming the new standard for in vitro apoptosis detection. Our in vivo apoptosis assays detect apoptotic cell death in living animal models, resulting in more accurate results and allowing for longitudinal studies. FLIVO has great potential as a non-invasive apoptosis imaging tool for use in drug development, study of disease, and one day, to personalize human medical treatments. Through collaborations and grants, we are developing FLIVO apoptosis tracers to be used with MRI, SPECT, and PET methods to more accurately study tumor apoptosis, cardiac ischemia, neurodegeneration, retinal degeneration, and other conditions.
