13 1/2 years ago I had the pleasure of getting a Blue Belgian Malinois. Today on 6/8/2026 at 8:30 P.M. Lakota Mist crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. She was born on 1/19/2014. She was a joy to not only me but to my husband and to my grandmother whom passed away in 2018. My heart is shattered. She was my girl there was no doubt. I could not make a move without her at my heals. She is already greatly missed.
Lakota developed stage 4 thyroid cancer. She wanted no part of the Vet so we decided to let her pass on her own terms at home. Rest easy Lakota, you will always be in my heart and always be my best friend. You were a one of a kind dog and no other dog can take your place. Run free and well. You are now with Granny and Grandpa, and playing with K9 Chico and K9 Archer. I will see you again. Job well done, your watch is complete. You will always be with me. I love you
