The William F. Gandert Scholarship is offered annually by the Ohio Housing Authorities Conference (OHAC) and encourages academic excellence and personal and community responsibility among all scholarship applicants.

Aliciah worked with her Family Self-Sufficiency coordinator and was able to utilize the Homeownership program at GDPM to help finance her newly constructed Habitat for Humanity home. It's Closing Day! Congratulations to first time homebuyer Crystal Miller!!!

Congratulations to Ms. Kimberly Foy for accomplishing a monumental goal and obtaining her GED! Ms. Foy is a resident at DeSoto Bass and a participant in the Family Self-Sufficiency program at GDPM. Kimberly stopped in today to meet with her FSS coordinator Ms. Visa Lee to put a plan in motion to further her education and explore career paths.

Congratulations Jessica Thomason on your new home! The hard work and determination paid off. Ms. Thomason enrolled in the Family Self-Sufficiency program in December of 2020 with her eyes set on homeownership. Jessica overcame barriers and worked with the FSS team at GDPM through the hardships of the pandemic to become mortgage ready. Thank you to our partners HomeOwnership Center of Dayton, CountyCorp, Ohio CDC, and Huntington Bank. We love it when a plan comes together!

Congratulations to our newest First Time Homebuyer Teresa Abrams! While working with the Family Self-Sufficiency program Ms. Abrams was able to utilize her Section 8 voucher to purchase her new home and start building equity. She was also able to take advantage of the IDA program offered at GDPM which provided funds towards closing cost.

The Resident Services Department at GDPM offers a unique homeownership program that allows HCV voucher holders the opportunity to purchase a home using their voucher subsidy.
