🚨Breaking: First missing scientist, a nuclear lab employee, is found dead a year after vanishing.

Melissa Casias, an administrative assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory — one of America's premier nuclear research facilities — disappeared in June 2025. Her remains have now been discovered in the Carson National Forest, New Mexico, nearly one year later.

Casias is the first of the cluster of missing scientists and lab staff tied to sensitive nuclear and national security work whose body has been recovered. Her case is part of a broader FBI investigation into at least 10 mysterious deaths and disappearances of researchers and employees connected to Los Alamos, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and other high-security sites.

Myrtle Beach ranks among the country's 100 most dangerous cities on FBI Uniform Crime Reporting data — violent crime roughly 173% above the national average, according to NeighborhoodScout's October 2025 release.

Then the Carolina Country Music Festival arrives. In 2024, with about 35,000 ticket holders a day for four days, Myrtle Beach Police reported 16 total arrests for the entire festival. Ten of those were alcohol-related.

The contrast is real, and it is structural. CCMF runs inside an 18-acre fenced perimeter — gate-screened, ticketed, with $630,000 in city vehicle barriers staged at 7th, 8th and 9th Avenues North and more than 800 city cameras feeding MBPD's Real-Time Crime Unit. Memorial Day weekend, two weekends earlier, ran the same downtown with no fence. The result: 394 arrests.

Which parts of that festival-week infrastructure should scale to the rest of the year?

💔 17 year old Riley Ann Jobe is missing from Xenia, Ohio.

Riley Ann Jobe, 17, has been missing from Xenia, Ohio since Friday, May 22, 2026. The NCMEC poster includes a caution warning that reads: if located, do not approach and immediately contact law enforcement.

Ohio has been dealing with a disturbing number of missing teenagers this year. Just weeks ago, the FBI arrested a Michigan man who used Reddit and Snapchat to lure a missing 15 year old Ohio girl to a hotel. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost also announced over 100 arrests in a statewide human trafficking sting this month. Missing teenagers in Ohio face real and documented dangers.

If you see Riley, do not approach her. Call 911 immediately or contact the Xenia Police Department at (937) 372-9901.

Igor Lytvynchuk's lawyer says his client has been on the end of brutal retaliation since the incident and is being treated unfairly because he's a white outsider.

He's had death threats, doxing, and a physical assault in the weeks since the video went viral.

The 38-year-old is set to appear in U.S. District Court in Honolulu later today on charges of harassing and attempting to harass a protected animal.

The man faces fines of up to $50,000 and criminal charges carrying time in prison under state law.
