Microsoft’s new Business Process Visualization capability gives organizations a better way to visualize and understand their business processes as they plan for a Dynamics 365 implementation.

And while the technology is pretty cool, the bigger takeaway is this: Your business should drive the technology, not the other way around.

Our piece of advice is to start with a WHY – not a HOW. Because jumping straight into “How are we going to implement this?” before asking “Why are we doing this in the first place?” is a pretty good way to make an ERP project more complicated than it needs to be. That’s where a smarter implementation starts.

In our most recent blog, we’re taking a closer look at Microsoft’s new Business Process Visualization capabilities and what they could mean for your next Dynamics 365 project.

Remember, start with the WHY. Then figure out the HOW. Check it out here - https://ellipsesolutions.com/dynamics-365-implementation-just-got-smarter-what-the-new-business-process-visualization-means-for-your-next-project/

Every week seems to bring a new AI model, Copilot capability, agent, platform, or breakthrough use case. For technology leaders, the challenge is no longer figuring out whether AI matters, it’s figuring out what to actually do about it.

And that’s where AI paralysis comes in…. Organizations aren’t necessarily resistant to AI. In many cases, they’re overwhelmed by the sheer number of possibilities, unsure where to start, or struggling to connect AI initiatives to real business value.

So how do you move from “We need to do something with AI” to a strategy that actually moves your organization forward?

Our latest blog explores why organizations are getting stuck in AI paralysis, and, more importantly, how to break through it and start making meaningful progress.

We’re so excited to be heading to the Ohio Regional Meetup next week! 🎉

There’s nothing quite like having a great Dynamics 365 community event right in our own backyard. OH-IO! 😉We’re looking forward to connecting with fellow D365 professionals, learning from industry experts, and, of course, sharing a little Ellipse expertise of our own!

We’ll be hosting two sessions during the event:
☑️ Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (CE Edition)
Hosted by Rick Wood | August 25 at 4:45 PM
☑️ Predictive Payments & Intelligent Cash Flow in D365
Presented by Mary VanKirk | August 26 at 10:30 AM

If you see Rick, Mary, or Savanna at the event, be sure to stop by and say hello! See you there! 💜

The future of Dynamics 365 isn’t JUST about adding more AI. It’s about building business applications around the way your business actually works.

Agentic AI is changing the conversation around ERP from tools that simply assist users, to intelligent agents that can take action, make decisions, and help move business processes forward.

So, what does that mean for the future of Dynamics 365, and how can organizations move beyond the AI hype to build applications that deliver real business value?

In our latest blog we explore the rise of agentic business applications and why the next generation of Dynamics 365 will be built around your business, not the other way around.

🥁Now for our final 2026 Battle of the Businesses post! 🥁

We had an eventful day broken up by some light rain 😏 and a lightning delay. Our results were solid, with most of our events keeping us steadily in the middle of the pack!

☀️We started off with the Obstacle Course, where we got 19th with a time of 3:01. We were thrilled by the chance to yell "potato!" at each other as the mystery event called for Mary to toss a potato in the air while Andres tried to catch it *on a fork*. Rumors are flying someone from Ellipse later ate said potato…🥔
⚽The Soccer Dribble was a great event where we came in 10th with a time of 3:00.83. We landed in 16th place in Punt, Pass, Kick with 328 total feet covered by the team's efforts. With minor injuries sustained, our Wind Sprint Relay 👟team brought us 8th place with a time of 0:57.71. The team says they'll be training for next year.
In the CEO Balloon Toss🎈, Gary and Mikhail gave their best and clenched the runner-up spot. We rounded out the day with Sack Race where we got 14th place with a time of 1:10.

Once all the results were tallied, we walked away 13th out of 28 total competing companies and third in our division! 🏅

It must be mentioned that for the *first time in Ellipse Solutions history*…..🏆WE WON THE SPIRIT AWARD! 🏆 We received this through our collective efforts in showing great enthusiasm, spirit, and sportsmanship.

To top it all off, we met our fundraising goal! The 2026 Dayton Battle of the Businesses ended up raising $84,000 for Greater Dayton Special Olypmics! We can't wait to do it all again next year. 💜

Dayton Battle of the Businesses may be over, but we are still dreaming of all the fun we had together. 💜

📝Our purple crew threw it down in trivia, staying consistent with 14th place. 🎳Our bowling team took first in enthusiasm and camaraderie while bringing home 16th place on the results sheet. A few fortunate Ellipsians won scratch off tickets for getting a Strike on the lucky frame!

💪Our Tugging team *held on tight* but were conquered by each team they competed against. ⛷️Finally, our Team Skiers made us proud by placing *third*!

Stay tuned for our final Battle photo drop later this week! 📸

🪩This year's North America Microsoft Millionaire was one for the books! It was a tight race with many great contestants. For the second year…in a row…Mary walked away as our Champion! Gonzalo came in a close second as our runner up! 🏆

🕺To top it all off we had a disco themed costume contest! Tabitha took home our grand prize, Andres was our runner up, and Nejith rounded it out in third place. An honorable shoutout goes to Gary for his *purple hair*!

We thank all our purple pals for another great year and can't wait to see what happens in December when our TWO *two time* champions battle each other! 😎
