Hello Tax Client
Tax season is officially here, and now is a great time to begin preparing your return to ensure accuracy and maximize your refund.
Please gather the following documents, if applicable:
• W-2 (Wage & Salary Statements)
• 1099-NEC / 1099-MISC (Self-Employment or Contract Income)
• 1099-R (Retirement or Pension Income)
• 1098-T (Education Expenses)
• Mortgage Interest Statement (Form 1098)
• Social Security cards for you and your dependents
• Any other income or tax-related documents
Important for Parents & Families:
If you worked during the year and have children under the age of 17, you may qualify for valuable tax credits such as:
• Earned Income Credit (EIC)
• Child Tax Credit and other child-related credits, depending on eligibility
These credits are designed to support working families and can significantly impact your overall refund when filed correctly.
What to Expect This Tax Season:
• Returns that include EIC or certain child-related credits are subject to IRS review and are typically released after mid-February, per federal guidelines.
• Proper documentation and accurate filing are essential to avoid delays or denials.
• E-file with direct deposit remains the fastest and safest way to receive your refund.
My goal is to provide professional, compliant tax preparation while helping you receive every credit you are legally entitled to.
📞 Please contact me to schedule your appointment or if you have questions about eligibility or required documents.
I look forward to assisting you this tax season.
Warm regards,
Tamara Edwards
