Those were the words spoken yesterday, and they couldn't be more true. What an opportunity it was to celebrate our CEO, Melissa Borowicz, at Insight Publications' Women of Influence 2026 event.

Thank you to the Greater Green Bay Chamber and Chamber Young Professionals for the opportunity to lead this morning's session on Understanding Personality Patterns for Better Decision-Making and Collaboration.

We also want to thank everyone who attended and participated. The thoughtful conversations and engagement made for a great morning, and we hope everyone left with new insights they can apply to their teams, organizations, and everyday interactions.

We see it all the time: a high-performing individual is promoted into leadership because they are the "expert" in their field. But being the best at a technical skill doesn't automatically make someone a leader.

The reality is that leadership requires an entirely different toolkit. When you are the expert, your value comes from your personal output. When you become a leader, your value comes from your ability to guide and teach others to reach that same level of excellence.

This transition is often the hardest part of professional growth. It requires moving away from "doing it yourself" to the more patient work of mentorship. Developing new skillsets like learning how to communicate vision, coach through mistakes, and clear the path for your team are the qualities that transforms a subject matter expert into a true leader.
