Happy Juneteenth from the BAPM Team!!!

Juneteenth is celebrated as the day (June 19, 1865) that the last communities of enslaved African Americans in the U.S. were notified that the Civil War had ended and informed that they were free. Also known as "Emancipation Day" or "Freedom Day" Juneteenth has been celebrated by African Americans since the late 1800s, was designated as a holiday by the state of Texas in 1980, and in 2021 President Biden signed legislation that made Juneteenth (June 19), a federal holiday.
