Another fantastic morning at BNI Decatur – Where It Is Greater!

This week, we were treated to an outstanding Featured Presentation by Wanda Gilchrist with A Lady's Touch, who shared valuable insights into her business and the impact she makes for her clients.

Congratulations to Sade Albino with Touch Therapy Co., who, with a little help from a teammate, took home this week's Ivan Award for the best 45-second presentation!

Another fantastic morning at BNI Decatur on Thursday, June 11th!

Our featured speaker was Melissa Curl with Outrun Physical Therapy, who shared her inspiring journey of building a business centered around helping active adults and athletes stay healthy, recover from injuries, and continue doing the activities they love. Melissa emphasized that physical therapy isn't just about recovery—it's about prevention, longevity, and empowering people to take control of their health and mobility. Thank you, Melissa, for an outstanding presentation!

A special congratulations goes to Chunja Sinclair with Peak Interiors, who earned this week's Ivan Award (World Cup Edition)for Best 45-Second Presentation. Chunja continues to do an exceptional job communicating how thoughtful interior design can transform both residential and commercial spaces.

We were also fortunate to welcome 5 visitors to the chapter, including 3 substitutes, 1 guest, and 1 first-time visitor. Thank you for spending your morning with us and learning more about the power of referral networking.

We were excited to officially induct Benjamin Hoskins with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing into the chapter. Welcome aboard! We look forward to helping grow your business and building strong referral relationships together.

Our featured speaker was Bre Colquitt with Reach Technologies, who delivered an engaging presentation on the importance of branding, promotional products, and creating a lasting impression. Bre shared how businesses can stay top-of-mind through strategic marketing materials and consistent brand messaging, reminding us that every business leaves a footprint long after a conversation ends.

Congratulations to Ruben Rodriguez with UC Commercial Properties, who took home this week's Ivan Award for Best 45-Second Presentation. BNI Decatur had another great morning of networking, relationship building, and business growth at Wahoo Grill.

We were pleased to welcome 6 visitors to the meeting, consisting of 3 first-time visitors, 2 substitutes, and 1 visiting BNI member. Thank you for spending your morning with us and learning more about the power of referral networking.

Our featured speaker was Sade Albino with Touch Therapy Co. Sade shared her journey from physical therapy to entrepreneurship and explained how she helps clients reduce pain, improve mobility, and improve their quality of life through therapeutic massage and manual therapy. She also discussed her focus on helping businesses and labor-intensive industries reduce workplace injuries through preventative care.

Congratulations to Christine Lloyd-Newberry with Empowered Coaching for winning this week's Ivan Award for Best 45-Second Presentation. Christine delivered a thoughtful message about contentment and the importance of recognizing where we already have enough while continuing to pursue meaningful goals.

Strong morning of networking, referrals, and relationship building at BNI Decatur on Thursday, May 21st!

We welcomed 7 visitors to the meeting today, including:

Our featured speaker this week was Stewart Jones with J3 Concrete Coatings, who gave an outstanding presentation on transforming garages, patios, pool decks, and commercial concrete surfaces through professional coating systems. Stewart did a great job educating the room on the difference between standard epoxy products and the industrial-grade polyurea/polyaspartic systems his company installs, along with the importance of proper concrete preparation and long-term durability.

Congratulations as well to Shani Anderson with Not Just CPAs for winning this week’s Ivan Award for Best 45-Second Presentation! As always, Shani brought creativity and energy to the room — this week using an empty box as a prop to reinforce the importance of “thinking outside the box” when helping business owners solve problems.

We also had another excellent education moment from Stephen Bentley focused on becoming a better listener in networking conversations by paying attention to what people are planning, bragging about, or complaining about — all opportunities to identify quality referrals and meaningful connections.

This week we welcomed 9 visitors to the room, including:

The energy, engagement, and conversations throughout the meeting were outstanding.

Our featured speaker this week was Stacey Lusk with Puddle Pools, who gave an incredibly educational presentation on pool maintenance, common mistakes homeowners make, and how preventative maintenance can save thousands in repairs. Stacey did a great job breaking down everything from circulation and chemistry to leak detection and equipment safety. If you know someone overwhelmed with pool ownership, green water, or noisy equipment, Stacey is your person.

His focus on education, transparency, and results made for a highly impactful presentation.
