ACEC is accepting applications for a summer laborer to assist the line crews during summer construction season. This position is perfect to gain hands-on experience with various construction practices in maintenance and repair, with a maximum of 1,000 working hours. Reminder that the Crafting for Charity Spring Workday is this Sunday, April 19th.

The event will take place from 1pm-6pm at Pivo Brewery in Calmar.

Calling all quilters, knitters, crocheters, sewists, and crafters for a charity workday! Bring your sewing machine, knitting needles, crochet hooks, etc. and work on a charity project of your choice OR just bring yourself and you can help do things like cut out fabric, sew on labels, layer quilts, etc. This is a great time to socialize with other people who make things for charity, learn about other groups, and have some fun!

Don't have a project you are currently working on for a charity but want to get involved? That's great! In addition to sharing information about local options, we'll also have things you can do to help that day! We have options for all skill levels and interests. This may include:

-Sewing on labels
-Tying fleece blankets
-Cutting quilt kits
-Layering, quilting/tying, and binding quilts
-and more!

Stay for the whole event or come and go as you please. PIVO will have food and beverages for sale.
