Nurses Week celebrations continued this week and our team had such a great time getting out into the community to spread a little appreciation. 💙

From dropping off ice cream, churros, and treats to healthcare teams, to helping celebrate residents and families during a Mother’s Day flower event, it was a week filled with connection, gratitude, and a lot of smiles.

A special shoutout to Michael Snyder, our Transitional Care Manager, for helping support one of the communities we partner with by delivering flowers for their Mother’s Day celebration — such a thoughtful way to help make the day extra meaningful.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many incredible healthcare professionals and community partners every day. Thank you for everything you do!

A few moments so far from our Nurses Week appreciation celebrations this week 📸💙

We love being able to connect with so many amazing healthcare professionals, share some snacks and gratitude, and simply say thank you for all that you do.

It’s always special to step away from the day-to-day for a moment and recognize the people who make such a difference in the lives of patients and families.

When families look for senior care, they often focus on the community, the amenities, or the cost.

But the truth is — the heart of quality care is the caregiver.

In our latest Caregiving Spotlight, we sat down with Amanda Puls, BSN, RN, to talk about what exceptional care really looks like behind the scenes.

From coordinating daily care to supporting families during end-of-life moments, Amanda shares what drives her, what caregiving truly means, and the advice she gives to families who feel overwhelmed.

One of the most powerful reminders?

💬 “Asking for help isn’t a failure — it’s an act of love.”

If you’ve ever wondered what quality care should feel like for your loved one, this is a must-read.

Starting the conversation about senior living with a loved one is never easy.

Most families we talk to aren’t even sure where to begin—they just know something needs to change.

Independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care… it’s a lot to take in, and the differences aren’t always clear.

We put together a simple guide to help break it all down and make those first steps a little less overwhelming.

The goal isn’t just finding care—it’s finding the right environment for your loved one to feel comfortable, supported, and at home.

If you’re starting to navigate this yourself, we’re always here to help talk it through.

💜 What a powerful and inspiring day.

The Power of Purple: A Reason to Hope Luncheon brought together over 500 people committed to making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s—and together, they raised an incredible $640,000.

We’re honored to have been part of this event as a sponsor and to stand alongside so many passionate advocates, including Franciscan Ministries.

This cause hits close to home for us at Open Arms Solutions. Every day, we support families navigating memory loss—and events like this remind us that no one is in this alone.

We shared more from the event (and why it matters) on our blog:

• The 3 types of long-term care available
• 4 common signs your loved one may need additional support
• How to start a healthy, supportive conversation about care

Aging changes the body — but decline doesn’t have to define the future.

After 65, muscle mass and strength begin to decrease more quickly, increasing the risk of falls and loss of independence. But here’s the good news: movement truly makes a difference.

In our newest blog, we’re sharing 5 effective exercises that can help your aging loved one:

✔️ Build strength
✔️ Improve balance
✔️ Boost heart health
✔️ Support mobility
✔️ Regain confidence

From light strength training and yoga to water aerobics and simple daily cardio, even 10–15 minutes a day can create meaningful progress.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about progress — one small step at a time.
