Did you know today is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere? That means we get extra sunshine, extra playtime, and extra chances for adventure!

Of course, it also means parents everywhere are having the annual conversation:

🎈💨 Can a balloon act like a rocket?

Mitzy and Queeky had a little oops in the MakeShop today… and accidentally discovered THRUST! When air rushes out one way, it pushes the balloon the other way. That’s the same basic idea rockets use to blast into space! 🚀

Science is full of surprises when you’re willing to experiment, make mistakes, and have a little fun along the way.

🍭 Ever wonder how cotton candy gets so fluffy?

It starts as regular sugar! A cotton candy machine melts the sugar, spins it really fast, and turns it into thousands of tiny sugar threads. Those threads trap lots of air, making cotton candy look HUGE!

And when it melts in your mouth? The sugar dissolves and all that trapped air disappears too.

Now you have a fun county fair fact to share with your little one! 🎡✨
