About Elise...

It seems that I've always had a love for photography. The way a single photo can tell a story and capture a soul. I remember as a child shooting my first roll of film and how that transformed a simple interest into a passion. You might say it changed my "view" on life. While in high school I worked as a nanny, and I constantly took pictures of the children I looked after. The joy I experienced when capturing their chubby smiles and enthusiastic facial expressions was just overwhelming to me. It was these intimate moments and the relationships I developed with the children and their families that inspired me to turn my passion into a career. Since starting Elise Zable Photography I have had the privilege of meeting and photographing adorable children and laughing with them along the way.

Happy Holidays from us! 🎄❤️ It has been almost a year since my last post but a little someone joined our family in November. We are all completely smitten by our newest addition, Nora. For the majority of the year I took a big step back from photography and now soaking up my time enjoying this stage of my life. I’m not sure what the future holds for my business but I’ve decided I don’t need to make a decision. I will take it one day at a time. Please don’t let my absence here be a reason not to reach out. I love photographing my clients year after year and sharing this passion of mine. Please send me an email, text or a submission through my website if you would like to get in touch. I've been neglecting this space for a while but I have a lot of sessions in my line up to share. Silence means I'm busy prioritizing the many hats I wear while making room for all the little moments with my people. ⁠

Every time I see this one, I just want to start belting "the hills are alive." Although they are very much dry right now. I would love lush mountains to photograph in one day!

How is it that time can go by so quickly and so slowly at the same time? I'd do anything to get these days back and they weren't that long ago. I hope the details that I remember now don't get lost within the years that follow. I made sure to photograph my own as often as I could and hired a photographer to capture me with them. Those moments aren't something I can get back but all I have to do is open up our annual albums and to take me back to that time. If you asked me what my why is, that would be it.

I have to say I haven't missed posting. I'm in a constant battle between prioritizing this space and putting my efforts toward other things that need my attention. Anyone else find themself between the constant push and pull?

As my own kids get older I realize that time with them is most important - alway from my phone and computer. It is a hard balance and now that school is back, I hope I find more of it.

I'm finally ready to welcome the Fall season and say good bye to this awful heat wave!
