The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southwestern Kinney County in south central Texas...
Northwestern Maverick County in south central Texas...
Southeastern Val Verde County in south central Texas...

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 448 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Laughlin AFB to 15 miles west of Quemado,
moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Spofford, Quemado, Paloma, Anacacho, Radar Base, Normandy, Darling,
and Laughlin AFB Aux Field.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

National Weather Service: strong thunderstorm will impact portions of central Val Verde
County through 930 PM CDT...

At 825 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of Comstock, moving southeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Comstock, Bakers Crossing, Devils River State Nat Area Big Satan, and
Devils River State Nat Area Del Norte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

At 1146 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Pumpville, or 12 miles west of Langtry, moving east at
40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Comstock, Langtry, Shumla, Box Canyon, Pumpville, Amistad Acres,
Seminole Canyon State Park, Pafford Crossing, Pecos River Boat Ramp,
Devils River State Nat Area Big Satan, and Salem Point.

Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

At 842 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of Juno to 12 miles south of
Langtry. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

a line extending from 19 miles south of Ozona to 12 miles southwest
of Pumpville. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
