This post is about more than a video.
It’s about what we mean when we say .
Robyn Gillen Caceres isn’t just a local small business owner. She’s a friend, she’s part of our Intentionally Rising community, and she is someone I have personally supported and received services from.
Recently, a decision was made that Robyn would no longer be participating in a community event because of concerns surrounding her work as a tarot reader.
I was disappointed to hear this, especially because my personal experience with Robyn and her services has been incredibly positive.
I’ve had several readings with her, and what I’ve experienced is exactly what she says her work is rooted in: positive intention, self-reflection, love, light, encouragement, and guidance for the heart.
But this post isn’t really about asking everyone to agree.
It’s about something much bigger to me.
One of the pillars behind Intentionally Rising has always been COMMUNITY.
Supporting local.
Making room for one another.
Learning from people whose beliefs, perspectives, or practices may be different from our own.
Choosing curiosity, conversation, and kindness whenever we can.
Because we don’t have to be the same to support one another.
Our differences can make our community stronger.
And there is something in Robyn’s message that I especially hope people hear:
She is still encouraging everyone to attend the festival.
Still support our first responders.
Still support the event.
Still support the local businesses who will be there.
To me, that is a beautiful example of choosing community even when something hurts.
So rather than simply sharing Robyn’s video, I want to help turn this moment into something positive.

We can disagree and still support one another.
We can ask questions before making assumptions.
And when someone in our community feels discouraged, we can remind them that they still have people willing to stand beside them.

Let’s take Robyn’s message and use it as an opportunity to put a little more of what we want to see into the world.
More kindness.
More curiosity.
More encouragement.
More support for local.
More room for our differences.
No sides to choose. No negativity to spread.
Just an opportunity to show what community can look like when we choose to link arms instead of pulling apart.
