We Remember: The 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Twenty-five years have passed since the September 11 attacks, yet the memories remain deeply etched in our hearts. On that tragic day, nearly 3,000 innocent lives were lost, families were forever changed, and the world witnessed unimaginable sorrow.

Today, we remember every person who never made it home, the courageous first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless individuals who offered comfort, hope, and help. Their bravery and sacrifice remind us that even in humanity’s darkest moments, love and unity can still shine.

As we commemorate this solemn anniversary, may we honor the victims by choosing compassion over hatred, peace over violence, and unity over division.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember their names, their stories, and the lives they touched.

Paul and I are very proud of our youngest daughter, Megan. She has worked hard at representing IR-4 and attaining this new position. She’s a wife and Mom to our 19 month old granddaughter. This article explains very well how those of you who are watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes or any vegetables can utilize this program.

Farming and agriculture have always been a way of life for Megan Hickman. Growing up on family farm, she knew from a young age that her career would mirror her upbringing. Today, Hickman serves as the new IR-4 Northeast Region Field Coordinator at the Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) Lower Eastern Shore Research and Education Center.
