1. E-coupons can be found everywhere!! Search online for your local supermarket website, coupon.com, or straight from the manufacturer for savings. You can use apps like Flipp or Ibotta to save and earn cash back on grocery purchases. Also, some of your credit cards may offer 2-5% additional cash back @ grocery stores. Between coupons and cash back you can save 5-10% on your grocery bill.
2. Shop @ local farmers market to save on produce and other items. Most farms sell directly to consumers and can charge up to 30% less than local supermarkets. Yet still they may not have everything you need. If you have to go to large supermarkets, don’t be afraid to visit different locations to save on different deals. Take the trip, not too far though, don’t want to lose your savings on travels costs like gas.
3. Make a grocery list and stick to it! Create your list starting with the items you need and an estimate of what those costs are based on prior knowledge. If you have a little wiggle room, add your extras, your wishlist sort of speak. Bring your list and stick to it! Don’t get distracted, get what you came there for to stay on budget.
