Delray Beach has once again claimed the title of Florida’s top beach.

The Palm Beach County destination was named the “Best Beach in Florida” in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, marking the third consecutive year the city has earned the distinction.

Known as the “Village by the Sea,” Delray Beach was recognized for its two miles of sandy shoreline, natural dunes, clear blue waters and a vibrant downtown district located just steps from the ocean.

“We’re honored that Delray Beach has once again been recognized as the Best Beach in Florida,” said Laura Simon, executive director of the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority. “Winning this award three years in a row speaks to the unique experience Delray Beach offers — from our beautiful shoreline and clean, walkable beach environment to the energy, culture, dining and hospitality found throughout our downtown.”

The recognition comes as Florida continues to attract visitors from around the world with more than 825 miles of coastline and an average of 230 sunny days each year.

Delray Beach’s reputation has been strengthened by recent investments and environmental achievements. The city recently completed a $19 million beach renourishment project that widened and strengthened its shoreline. Delray Beach has also earned the prestigious International Blue Flag designation for environmental excellence and water quality for two consecutive years, placing it among a select group of beaches in the continental United States to receive the honor.

The top 10 beaches in Florida, according to the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, are:
1. Delray Beach
2. Clearwater Beach
3. Treasure Island Beach
4. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea
5. Stuart Beach
6. Bowman’s Beach
7. St. Pete Beach
8. Siesta Beach
9. Destin
10. Anastasia State Park

Palm Beach International Airport is set to be renamed “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” after Florida Gov.

Ron DeSantis signed legislation shifting airport-naming authority to the state. The change affects the airport in West Palm Beach, located near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, and is scheduled to move forward in July after required approvals and local implementation steps.

The twist is that the rebrand comes with unusual licensing and trademark complications, because Trump-connected entities filed for airport-name trademarks while Palm Beach County also had to approve an agreement allowing use of the name.

Supporters have framed the move as recognition of Trump’s ties to Florida, while critics argued the decision bypassed local control and could create millions of dollars in signage and branding costs.

Airport officials said the legislation changes only the airport’s name, not its ownership, operations, or passenger services.

The renaming has drawn national attention because a major commercial airport is being rebranded after a sitting president whose private brand is also tied to the name.
