KKR just opened a permanent office at 600 Brickell Avenue, for a firm managing $744 billion in assets, creating a permanent presence in Miami is about more than the local market. Miami is the gateway for KKR to expand its institutional and private wealth relationships across Latin America, and they needed a permanent base to do that seriously. They moved out of temporary space at 801 Brickell to make it happen. Eventually leading to permanent home for their corporate headquarters.

The state of Florida just put out a property calculator to find out homeowners estimated savings in the proposed legislative bill to eliminate property taxes. Just put your address in and it calculates the first phase up to $250,000 homestead exemption and also the second and final phase up to $500,000. This looks like it will pass in November and force local government to budget with intention.
