If your organization collects, stores, or processes the personal data of EU, EEA, or UK residents—regardless of your organization’s location—you must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 7. Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning them or similarly significantly affects them.

Other countries, such as Brazil and several U.S. states, have passed similar regulations.
