Feeling drained but don’t really know why?
You might be experiencing burnout.

___˚ʚ♡ɞ˚___

Burnout often stems from an accumulation of tasks in several areas of life- work, personal, spiritual, etc.- that all seem to require your attention at the same time.

If you’re experiencing burnout, you might not even know where to begin when addressing all these demands and expectations. Instead, you just feel worn, apathetic, or frustrated, and might even lose motivation towards tackling any of it at all because it’s so overwhelming to even consider getting done.

Some important reminders as you move through this week:
> You are not defined by your level of productivity!
> Your 100% isn’t going to look the same every day; your battery won’t always start fully charged, so give yourself grace when you ARE already giving your best on those hard days too!
> You are allowed to set aside time to rest and put boundaries in place to get that rest!

If you ever need any support, please don’t hesitate to reach out either! Not every conversation has to be business-oriented here! You’re not trauma-dumping or a burden for needing someone to lean on! 🩵

Your audience wants to know YOU, not an automated version of you.
Let me explain what I mean:

You could sell a great product, offer a great service, and yet potential clients would never know. Why?
Because HALF the population doesn’t trust AI, and your marketing is scaring them away from your business.

Your marketing is where you make your first impression.

When people see you use AI on your platforms, the harsh reality is it causes people to question where else you haven’t invested your time and energy into. It gives off the impression your products are cheaply made and don’t have their best interests in mind as the customers- even if the reality is the complete opposite and you’re choosing free sources like AI to put your investment elsewhere. They skip out on your work before even giving you a proper chance, or assume your work is a scam.

You don’t want your potential clients to get the wrong impression of you! There’s so many budget-friendly and resourceful ways to market yourself without needing a computer to generate knockoffs of your own products. If you want to go a step further, you can even outsource the work to a Virtual Assistant who can shape your business identity alongside you!

The reality is…
Just because something’s normalized doesn’t mean it should be the standard for your own life.

___˚ʚ♡ɞ˚___

The Speaker of Ecclesiastes puts it this way:
“If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success.” [Ecc. 10:10]

If we prioritize the standard of hustle culture and disregard ourselves in the process, we’re bound to fall apart eventually. No matter if we’ve been going at it for days, months, or maybe even years, the truth is we all have our limits as human beings and can’t keep pushing ourselves forever.

We need rest!! Our bodies need regular maintenance, just as any other system would. By setting aside a moment to take care of ourselves from our busy day, we actually wind up being more productive.

In the moment, it may seem like the person who doesn’t choose to take a break is accomplishing more while we put a pause in our workflow. However, in the long-term, we’re able to accomplish much more than they do in the same day *because* we took that time to recenter; that simple break allows us to step back into our work more alert, energized, and less distracted by the fatigue we would’ve felt otherwise. We wind up accomplishing more, because we took care of ourselves!

So please know it’s okay to rest! Take the time to sit in God’s presence and depend on Him for continued strength, ask for help, pause for the snack break- whatever helps you to recenter! You were designed for rest, not continued performance. You are worth more than your output.

Today’s post also marks one month of operating as a Virtual Assistant!! I’ve been so grateful to connect with so many incredible creators and for all the love you’ve shown me thus far!

Thank you for taking the time to follow alongside me on this journey, share so many kind and encouraging words, and reach out to me personally to provide helpful resources and advice!!

Your support means the world to me, and I really hope that my page can be a place of clarity, comfort, and compassion as you spend your time here. This month’s focus has been on getting most of the Q&A resources set up for easy access, but now is where I really get to dedicate my focus towards what matters most- letting each of you know how loved you are, that you’re not alone in your struggles, and that there is hope in the midst of the endeavors you face!

So if you’re new here, I’d love it if you could follow along, and if you need support yourself- whether in your workflow or on a more personal level- human-to-human- please, please don’t hesitate to reach out!! There is always someone who cares for you!!

I had to hop on the Canva - - trend, it looked so fun!!

Thought this was such a unique way to connect with others! You can really get a glimpse of people’s personalities and workflows just by their desk set-up alone!

I’d love to check out your own set-ups! Forward yours if you’ve jumped on this trend already!
Here’s what I’ve got as far as my workspace goes:

___˚ʚ♡ɞ˚___

› I’ve got my faith-based decor and sticky notes so I can really focus in on my priorities- God, and the people I get to serve!

› My water bottles? Self-explanatory; make sure to stay hydrated!!

› Made the switch to a vertical mouse and it is a DREAM to work with. It definitely took some time to adjust, but it is SO worth it.

› You guys… a screen is a screen, and my TV for a monitor gets the job DONE 🤣 Hooks up with an HDMI the same exact way a monitor does; one day I’ll have that upgrade, but this set-up surprisingly works great!

› The CyberPower PC I just recently got, though? THAT’S been the greatest upgrade by far! Came with the back-lit keyboard too, which is a must!

› Haven’t used the Blue Yeti too much, but you might start to see it more often- or at least know I’m using it for future projects when you hear how it works 👀

› And finally, my trusty, dusty Wacom tablet that I’ve had for I want to say a DECADE now- and it’s held up great! Helps for when I want to set up a really specific design style that a mouse and keyboard just can’t replicate on their own. You don’t always need to have the latest tech as long as you know how to work what you’ve already got!

A Follower of Christ!! I would not be on this journey without God; it’s taken a great leap of faith to start a business of my own, and it’s by God’s strength I have the confidence to take on the challenge! I love exploring His Word to deepen my relationship with Him, and finding answers to hard questions about sin and God’s character through cross-referencing verses, researching translations and concordances, and taking super detailed notes!! The more that I study, the more I’ve been able to make those connections, and it is super eye-opening to see how the Old and New Testaments complement one another!

A Dog Mom! I have two boxers, Champ on the left and Noah on the right! They are my and my family’s babies- even if they’re not babies anymore 🥹

A Psych-Enthusiast! I love exploring the human psyche- learning more about my own behavior as well as that of those around me. Small talk can be fun, but conversations where I can support people through genuine hardship or extend a practical hand are where I find the most fulfillment in!

An Avid Journaler! I can tend to be pretty mellow, but get me on the right topic, and I can go on and on if you get me started! I love to keep a journal to preserve moments I find gratitude in, work through areas of hardship, and reflect back on what’s been written to see how God’s carried me forward into my now-present! My record is writing 32 pages in a single day 🫡

A Photographer! Every image has a story, and we often take pictures of what we love or wish to remember. An image has the capacity to transport us to an exact moment in history- to the same time, place, and day- but it also brings with it the emotions we experienced then as well. God’s love and every detail of His creation is memorialized in every image photographed!
