🎉 Welcome to Livingston Parish, Empire Wingz 🍗

Two ribbon cuttings in one day? We're not complaining. 😄 Hot on the heels of welcoming Birdie Bleu, we celebrated another business today — Empire Wingz, now open near Bass Pro in Denham Springs. 120 Bass Pro Blvd Suite E!

This parish is growing fast, and it's amazing to see so many incredible local businesses choosing to call Livingston Parish home.

Owner Vic Smith shared the story behind Empire Wingz - and it's a good one — it all started as a pop-up tent slinging wings outside a nightclub, where people would show up just for the wings. That love for great food and a strong entrepreneur spirit led to nine locations strong, with Denham Springs marking their ninth!

With a flavor and wing style for everyone, there's something on the menu for every kind of wing lover. And do yourself a favor — don't leave without trying the Deucey juice and the VJ fries. Trust us on this one.

Empire Wingz hosted their Ribbon Cutting with the Chamber & our Ambassadors today, and we loved getting a sneak peek before their grand opening tomorrow! Thank you to the Ambassadors and fellow local business owners who came out to show support — this is what community looks like.

The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting of Birdie Blue, a charming new boutique in the Antique District of Denham Springs!

Owner Nikki DePhillips describes buying this boutique as a blessing in disguise — it's given her more time with the people she loves most, including her daughters, who help her run the shop and bring it to life. 💕

For Nikki and her girls, this boutique isn't just about fashion — it's a family passion project. And if the joy they find in picking out every piece and building this space can bring even a little joy to someone else, they say it's all worth it. 🛍️✨

🐴✂️ RIBBON CUTTING: Welcome Wilder Blue Ranch llc. to the Livingston Parish Chamber and Community! 🐴

We had the best time celebrating the grand opening of Wilder Blue Ranch, a Clydesdale breeding ranch that's already stealing hearts across the parish! 💙

This one is personal. Owner Caroline felt like she was searching for something — a little adrift, looking for her own version of "greener pastures." That search led her to Montana, where her lifelong love of horses collided with a discovery that changed everything: Clydesdales are an endangered breed. What started as a passion turned into a mission, and Wilder Blue Ranch was born.

Since bringing home their first horse in October, the ranch has grown into a full family operation — Caroline, her husband, and her parents all pitch in to care for the horses and welcome guests. And the newest addition says it all: a 4-month-old baby Clydesdale, who holds the honor of being the first registered Clydesdale born in Louisiana! 🎉

Beyond the Clydesdales, you'll find quarter horses, a donkey, turkeys, rabbits, and not one but TWO pigs (one adopted, one who simply wandered in and decided to stay 🐷).
Wilder Blue Ranch is now open for:

What a day for Livingston Parish! 🎉 Yesterday, more than 300 community members packed the room for our 2026 State of the Parish — the largest turnout in this event's history. From updates on infrastructure and public safety to a look at where our parish is headed next, it was a powerful reminder of what's possible when local government, business, and community come together.

A huge thank you to Randy Delatte - Parish President, our Livingston Parish Council, Sheriff Jason Ard, and our state delegation — Sen. Valarie Hodges, Rep. Kellee Hennessy Dickerson, and Rep. The Livingston Parish Chamber was proud to attend this morning's ribbon-cutting for the Cook Road Extension, a new four-lane connection between Highway 16 and Juban Road.

This project improves traffic flow and emergency access through one of the parish's busiest areas and adds important infrastructure for continued growth. Cook Road is also planned to eventually connect to Range Avenue as part of a broader effort to create additional east-west corridors across the parish.

We congratulate Parish President Randy Delatte, DOTD, the Federal Highway Administration, Forte and Tablada, and all local, state, and federal partners whose work made today possible.
Projects like this reflect what's possible when our community works together toward shared goals.
