In a polite way……
Yesterday was a rare day when my granddaughter helped out at the auction house. While sorting, we came across this 1991 My Pal 2 Electronic Talking Robot. I said to her, “I may bid on that ( not joking) , I have a place where that would look great in my house”. In a loving tone she replied “ Mimi, you are so unique”. That was her polite way ,as an 18 year old, of telling me she thinks I am weird.
