Who is my teacher……

This cigar box of marbles ( up for bids in our next auction) brought back a .grade school memory

When I was about to start my first year of school… All the children going to that school for first grade ( no kindergarten then) met in the cafeteria to find out who our teacher would be. Our teacher was decided by marbles. A teacher went to each student with a cigar box of different color marbles; each child reached into the cigar box ( no peeking) and drew a marble, which color you drew determined your teacher. I was so excited because the color I got was for the teacher I wanted, Mrs Scott!

In a polite way……
Yesterday was a rare day when my granddaughter helped out at the auction house. While sorting, we came across this 1991 My Pal 2 Electronic Talking Robot. I said to her, “I may bid on that ( not joking) , I have a place where that would look great in my house”. In a loving tone she replied “ Mimi, you are so unique”. That was her polite way ,as an 18 year old, of telling me she thinks I am weird.
