Harvest is underway!

As farmers head to the fields, remember to give farm equipment plenty of room and slow down, especially when traveling on small rural roads.

Large tractors and combines may move slowly, take up more of the roadway, and make unexpected turns. Be patient, stay alert, and wait for a safe opportunity to pass.

🌽 Slow down. Give them room. Help everyone get home safely.

Fall is officially here 🎃🍂 and with it comes pumpkin picking, fall decorating, pumpkin bread and all those favorite seasonal treats! 🍁

While fall decorations can add a fun and festive mood to your home, they can also create additional fire risks.

🔥 Keep decorations safely away from heat sources, fireplaces, heaters and open flames.
🕯️ If you enjoy a fall-scented candle, consider choosing a battery-powered flameless candle instead.
🎃 And as you bring those pumpkins and decorations home, take a moment to make sure they don't block exits or create trip hazards.

Enjoy everything fall has to offer and keep fire safety part of the season! 🍂

Happy Fall. Stay safe and well everyone.

Dry conditions and harvested fields can fuel fast-moving grass and brush fires, putting homes, livestock, structures and farm equipment at risk.

Have a farm fire safety plan. Know your evacuation routes, livestock relocation areas and how firefighters can access your property.

A little prevention can go a long way to help with a safe and successful harvest season.
