I’m not gone, just busy & tired. we avoided the ‘vid for 2 years before it got us. we all had mild cases, but it caused an intense flare in the symptoms I’ve been battling since 2019, which really knocked me down physically AND mentally. but I’m ok! slowly improving and finding a new normal that I can serve my family & my work in. thanks for sticking around! 😘

I never have a hard time finding things to be thankful for when I’m intentional about it - as so many of us become this time of year. but when I’m not, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed & depressed about all that we’ve lost, and all the suffering we’ve experienced. allowing myself to feel grief instead of just pushing through is not something that comes naturally to me, so I need to be intentional about that, too. I hope this reminds you to be thankful on purpose, and grieve on purpose, they are both important. one of the things I’m most thankful for this year, especially after last, is my job - capturing the most important, special & intimate moments of people’s lives. new life entering the world, vows of love made in the presence of those closest to you. connection, emotion & authenticity. it’s a really neat thing to get to witness. thanks for making my dreams a reality ✨
