Our community needs your help. With the colder temperatures, Venezuelan and other Latin American refugees recently relocated from Texas to Denver are in desperate need of warm winter gear and other items.
Since we specialize in collecting items, let’s help!
The items specifically being requested are:
- Footwear
- Backpacks
- Feminine products
- Disposable diapers
- Disposable utensils
- Reusable water bottles
- Tents, sleeping bags, and camping pads
- Suitcases (rolling with working wheels, handles and zippers)
- Warm winter outerwear, hats, gloves, and boots for all ages and genders
Who:
We are working with various local non-profits and mutual aid networks to distribute these items. There are too many amazing organizations that are helping the migrant population to list here, but please view them on our website, linked in bio.
How:
Simply include these items with your normal Happy Beetle pickup. As we seek to maximize the usefulness of existing products and divert them from the landfill, please find these underutilized items from within your home, rather than purchasing new items to be donated. Please do not include items not on this list. Our normal quantity guidelines still apply, of two collection bags + an additional item, such as a medium-sized box
