I woke up this morning grateful. But, not the soft kind of gratitude we whisper in passing, but the bone-deep, soul-steadying gratitude that reminds me what a privilege it is to do the work I do.
I am proud to lead. Proud to advocate. Proud to stand in the gap for communities that are too often underserved, marginalized, and dismissed.
Every day, I get to put my hands on work that matters, work that lets people feel seen, valued, and protected. And that is the kind of gratitude that reshapes a life.
Leadership, at its core, is a thank-you note to humanity.
And, it’s my responsibility, and my joy to ensure that diversity isn’t simply a checkbox in our organizations but the lifeblood that makes them breathe. That equity becomes more than policy - it becomes a promise. And that inclusion is not the side door we open occasionally, but the front door that never closes.
My voice exists for good. My presence exists for change.
And love… well love is the superpower I lead with.
Because every day I challenge myself to leave the world better than I found it.
Not someday. Not when the timing is perfect. Every single day - in meetings, in the decisions I make, in how I show up for people who trust me to carry their stories with honor.
And then there is the gratitude that lives in my DNA - the gratitude that answers to the names Warren and Webb.
I am who I am because I grew up in a home where love wasn’t rationed, joy was abundant, and faith was the compass that steadied every step. I carry their lessons like a lantern. Being their daughter will forever be one of my greatest blessings - and my deepest responsibility.
I am grateful for my children, for the way they rise, the way they stretch, the way they keep becoming. Watching them succeed is one thing; watching them pass those same values on to the children in their lives is a joy that defies words.
It is legacy made visible.
And finally, I am grateful for the journey itself.
For being chosen to walk this road with all its bends, valleys, and mountaintops. Sometimes I walk it alone, but never lonely.
Sometimes I rise by faith, trembling a little, but never discouraged. Never defeated. Because every turn, every triumph, every challenge has shaped a woman who knows exactly why she is here.
I write this today not just as a reflection of my life, but as an invitation to yours.
Pause.
Look around.
Let yourself see what’s been holding you up all along.
Gratitude is not passive. It’s active. It’s alive. It transforms leaders into healers, and ordinary days into sacred ones.
May you carry gratitude like a torch.
May you lead with love like it’s your birthright.
And may you remember - the world is waiting on the light only you can give.
Happy Thanksgiving from my home to yours.
