Roofers and solar companies… we need to talk.

Too many roofers think solar guys ruin roofs.
Too many solar companies think roofers don’t understand solar.

And honestly? Both sides are right… sometimes.

I’ve seen solar installs that should NEVER have gone on a roof. Poor flashing, bad layouts, zero thought about roof lifespan.

But I’ve also seen roofers rip off perfectly good solar systems—or worse, reinstall them wrong—just to keep everything “in-house.”

Here’s the truth no one wants to say:

* A bad solar crew can destroy a roof
* A bad roofer can destroy a solar system
* And when either one refuses to work together… the homeowner loses

So here’s the real question:

🐿️⚡ Squirrels vs. Solar Panels — It’s a Bigger Problem Than You Think in Colorado

We were called out to fix a system where squirrels chewed straight through the wiring under the panels… leaving the homeowner with little to no production.

This isn’t rare — especially here in Colorado.
Rodents love nesting under solar panels because it’s warm, protected, and out of sight.

⚠️ What this can lead to: • System shutdowns or low production
• Exposed wiring (fire hazard)

• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
