Serving vs. being taken advantage of.

If you are a business owner...it can be hard to walk the line of serving joyfully and feeling resentful (and burned out) if you are doing the same thing you are in your business.

Are you using your gifts and talents to serve ministries or non-profits but find yourself feeling resentful or taken advantage of?

In this week’s episode, we’re diving into how to set healthy boundaries when volunteering or offering discounted services. Here’s the key: Be intentional. Decide ahead of time what you’re willing to give, so you don’t end up overwhelmed or resentful. 🙌

It is all about being mindful of your time and energy and saying yest to the right opportunities. It also means saying no to things and not feeling guilty about them! If you can set limits and choose wisely, you can serve wholeheartedly without the negative feelings creeping in.

He is for you. Here is a little encouragement for you.

The Lord bless you and keep you
Make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace

May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And your family and your children
And their children, and their children

May His presence go before you
And behind you, and beside you
All around you, and within you
He is with you, he is with you
In the morning, in the evening
In your coming, and your going
In your weeping, and rejoicing
He is for you, he is for you

Engaging in tough conversations this political season? Are you acting with love and kindness?

If you are struggling with having kind and loving conversations, here's a powerful tip: Lead with curiosity. When things get heated, let your response be a question. Instead of reacting, ask, "What do you mean by that?" or "Why do you think that?" Curiosity can diffuse tension, clarify misunderstandings, and open the door to deeper understanding.

But it’s not just about others—be curious with yourself too. Before you post or respond, ask, "Can I do this with love? Am I motivated by respect and kindness?" This self-check can keep you grounded and ensure your actions align with your values.

Let’s navigate this season with grace and wisdom, leading conversations that reflect our faith. How do you stay curious in challenging discussions? Share your thoughts below!👇

We are talking about something we NEVER thought we would talk about on the podcast....politics.

Political season is here, and as Christian business owners, it can feel like walking through a minefield. But here’s the truth: we can’t just hide under a rock until it’s all over. So let's talk about how to navigate this challenging season with thoughtfulness, grace, and integrity.

In a world already too divided, we want to be voices of unity, not contributors to the chaos. This episode is all about finding the balance—engaging in the conversation without being combative, staying true to our faith without adding to the fear and division.

Ouch! Let's talk about when you invest in something and it doesn't quite work out like you planned.

💸 Have you ever invested in something big—whether it’s a program, course, or tool—only to find yourself disappointed when it didn’t turn out as expected?

Once again, we get vunerable this week and talk about things that we both have invested in this year and haven't quite gone as planned, leaving us feeling like we wasted our money!

But here’s the key: just because things didn’t go as planned doesn’t mean it was the wrong decision.

In this week's episode we talk about the importance of shifting your perspective, adjusting expectations, and finding ways to make the most out of an investment, even when it doesn’t turn out the way you imagined. This episode is packed with practical steps to help you turn a seemingly wasted investment into a valuable learning experience.

If you’ve ever doubted whether your story is worth sharing, this episode is for you. Whether it’s a tale of everyday life or one filled with deep challenges, there’s value in it. We’ll be sharing tips on how to confidently tell your story in a way that brings healing to you and encouragement to others.

What’s been holding you back from sharing your story?
