This is both sad and maddening at the same time. As a motorsports fan and avid photographer, I've had the privilege of shooting races as a second job. I can tell you first hand as an accredited member of the media, photographers are one of the hardest working folks at the track on a weekend. The hustling to find clients to make it worth your while to show up at the track on any particular weekend, selling one-off shots if you happened to be in the right place at the right time, the late night editing to meet a deadline for a publisher. It's the passion and love for the sport and the art that keeps you going and makes it all worth while. It's a shame these small business owners are being treated like this.
