⭐ Employee Spotlight - Kaden Jacobs, Baxter Springs, KS⭐

Meet Kaden Jacobs, Safety Coordinator at our Baxter Springs facility. Over the past year and a half, Kaden has helped support the site’s safety efforts while working closely with employees and teams throughout Alphia. His favorite part of working here is the opportunity to collaborate with so many great people across the network and build connections beyond his own facility.

Outside of work, Kaden appreciates everything the Southeast Kansas area has to offer—especially its location. Within just an hour, he can be spending time at Grand Lake in Oklahoma, exploring the foothills of the Ozarks in Arkansas or enjoying the Joplin area in Missouri.

Kaden keeps busy riding motorcycles, coaching youth sports and building computers. He is also a proud dad to his two sons, Gaige and Ryden, and enjoys being there to celebrate their accomplishments—from football tournament wins to graduation milestones.

At home, Kaden shares life with four pets: Lady and Bruno, his two dachshunds, and Tom and Holden, his two cats. With four furry personalities under one roof, there is likely never a dull moment! 🐾

We’re glad to have Kaden as part of the Alphia team and appreciate everything he does to support safety and collaboration in Baxter Springs.

Dogden is coming! 🐾

We’re proud and excited to once again sponsor the Dogden Festival—an event that brings together so many things that matter to us: pets, people and the Ogden community.

Ogden has been part of Alphia’s story for more than 40 years, and many of our team members live and work in this community. Supporting events like Dogden gives us another opportunity to connect with our neighbors, celebrate the pets at the heart of our families and give back to a place that has given so much to us. 💙 🐾

Be sure to stop by the Alphia booth to see our Mutt Kutt van, grab some Alphia swag and treat your pup to a Pup Cup created in partnership with Daily Rise coffee shop. Members of our team will also be helping judge the dog competitions, and we can’t wait to see what Ogden’s talented pups bring this year!

Supporting Local Youth Through the Clark County Junior Livestock Auction

Alphia Woodland was proud to continue our support of the Glackler family from Patchwork Acres, a local farm just down the road in La Center, Washington. This year, we had the opportunity to support siblings Wyatt, Jack and Janny Glackler as they participated in the Clark County Junior Livestock Auction through 4-H.

The Junior Livestock Auction gives young people valuable hands-on experience in agriculture, animal care and entrepreneurship. Participants dedicate countless hours to raising and caring for their animals while learning important life skills like responsibility, financial management, goal setting and communication.

Programs like 4-H provide opportunities for young people to learn, grow and take pride in the work they've put into their projects. Supporting these programs also means supporting the families, farms and agricultural communities that are an important part of the areas where we live and work.

At Alphia, we believe strong communities are built by investing in the people who make them thrive. We're grateful for the opportunity to support the Glackler family and recognize Wyatt, Jack and Janny for the time, hard work and dedication they put into this year's projects.

Community Connections in Ogden 💙

Our Ogden Team continues to find ways to support and connect with the community they call home. Here are a couple of moments from the past few months that we wanted to share!

🐾 Canine Creativity at the Ogden Library

Back in May, the Ogden Library had a special touch of canine creativity when Chester, one of our team member’s beloved pups, put his paws to work creating his very own masterpiece.

Alphia Ogden joined in the fun by donating two pet gift baskets filled with treats, toys and other goodies. It was a fun event that brought together pets, creativity and community spirit.

🎨 Celebrating the Arts in Ogden

In July, Alphia Ogden was proud to support the 20th Annual Ogden Arts Festival at Historic Union Station.

The festival featured more than 100 artists, live music, interactive art experiences, local food vendors and thousands of community members enjoying a weekend dedicated to the arts and the creativity that makes Ogden such a special place.

We're proud to support events and organizations that bring people together and strengthen the communities where our team members live and work.

August is National Wellness Month — a reminder that taking care of ourselves can be as simple as getting outside, slowing down, taking a walk or spending time with a four-legged friend. 🐾

At Alphia, we know pets have a special way of making our days a little brighter — and they can be pretty great wellness partners, too.

Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, an outdoor adventure or some quiet time together, sometimes wellness really is better together.💙

Fair Week in Mid-July is always a special time in Pawnee City, Nebraska and Alphia was proud to be part of this year's celebration in many ways.

Throughout the week, our team helped keep volunteers and 4-H youth refreshed by providing ice-cold bottled water during Fair Cleanup Day and throughout the livestock shows for exhibitors, families, and community members. We were also proud to sponsor two longtime Fair Week traditions—the Tractor Pulls and the Rodeo—bringing the community together for evenings of fun and entertainment. 🍀

The celebration continued with an Alphia float in the parade, where team members proudly represented our company alongside friends, neighbors, and fellow community organizations. 🐾

One of the highlights of the week was cheering on the next generation. Several children of our Midwest team members participated in the Garden Tractor Pull and livestock shows, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and pride. It was wonderful to see so many Alphia families involved throughout the week. 🚜

At Alphia, we're proud to invest in the communities where we live and work. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Pawnee County Fair another memorable celebration—we're already looking forward to next year!

⭐ Employee Spotlight: Tony Valenzuela - Pittsburg, TX⭐

Tony Valenzuela has been part of the Alphia team for a little over two years as a Processing Operator Lead in Pittsburg, Texas. He enjoys the hands-on nature of his role and takes pride in helping others succeed. One of the things he enjoys most is sharing his knowledge with coworkers, supporting their growth, and working together to keep operations running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. "It's rewarding to be part of a team that produces quality nutrition for dogs and cats, knowing our work helps improve the lives of pets every day," Tony shares.

Outside of work, Tony appreciates the small-town atmosphere and strong sense of community around the Mt. Pleasant area. He enjoys living and working in a place where people are friendly, supportive, and always willing to lend a helping hand. When he's not at Alphia, you'll usually find him spending time with his wife and kids. Whether they're enjoying the outdoors, grilling, watching sports, or simply making memories together, family time is what he values most.

Although Tony doesn't currently have any pets of his own, he's proud to play a role in producing quality nutrition that helps pets live healthy, happy lives every day.
