Having raised more than $80,000 through a GoFundMe appeal, the family has now retained the PI, unhappy with official findings that said Megan’s death was a su***de, reports Axios.

The trial of Laura Tellers, a Colorado private investigator accused of smuggling drugs into Weld County Jail, has been postponed again.

Only this time, to the surprise of those following the case, Tellers herself asked for the delay. The previous two delays were instigated by the prosecution, much to Tellers’ chagrin.

The Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition reports that a judge is looking at just how much body-cam footage must be released publicly when law enforcement is alleged to have committed misconduct.

The case has been brought by 9NEWS and follows the killing of Kilyn Lewis, 37, by a SWAT team member of Aurora Police last year. The officer wasn’t charged but the victim’s family members have filed a complaint.

Traci Beller was 13 when her father — co-owner of a heating and air conditioning company — went out on some service calls and never returned home. The police, who found no trace of him, concluded that he had simply abandoned his family.

The family then turned to Jessica Byers, a Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office investigator turned private eye — and a darned good one. But she also turned up nothing.

The family of a missing Broadway dancer who worked with Hugh Jackman hired a private investor to help locate the man, who has not been seen for more than three months.

Zelig William went missing in a heavily wooded area in his home state of South Carolina. He was last seen by his mother leaving the house on October 3. A day later his car was found abandoned but undamaged in a parking lot near Congaree National Park about 20 miles southeast of Columbia.
