😔
Today, we are saddened to learn of the passing of legendary vocalist Peabo Bryson at the age of 75.
For more than five decades, Peabo Bryson stood among the great voices of American music.
His rich, unmistakable tenor brought us timeless classics such as If Ever You're In My Arms Again, Can You Stop The Rain, Feel The Fire, Tonight, I Celebrate My Love, and the Academy Award and Grammy-winning Disney classics Beauty and the Beast and A Whole New World. Throughout a remarkable career that spanned over 20 albums, Peabo became one of the most beloved balladeers in contemporary music.
What many may not know is that Peabo and Nancy Wilson shared more than stages and recordings, they shared a genuine friendship and a mutual respect rooted in musical excellence. Both artists possessed the rare ability to tell a story through song, touching hearts with every note.
Nancy always admired artists who sang with sincerity, elegance, and soul. Peabo Bryson embodied all three.
Today, we extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to his wife, children, family, friends, and the millions of fans around the world who loved his music.
The world has lost one of the true souls of music, but his voice, his artistry, and his legacy will continue to live on through every song he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Peabo Bryson.
