Wednesday’s mandatory training brought our Sparky’s Consulting & Tactics team together for hands-on practice, smaller-group instruction, and plenty of encouragement along the way!

🔥 TRAIN WITH PURPOSE 🔥

Another Sparky’s Consulting & Tactics Training Academy kicked off this Tuesday, with Tim Moore leading instruction throughout the week!

Our candidates spent time in the classroom learning about state laws, rules and mandates, municipal codes, and company policies and procedures—the knowledge they need to understand their responsibilities and perform at their best in the field.

It was a great day of learning, good conversation, and plenty of fun along the way. Now, our candidates are preparing for their next cumulative training day, where they’ll continue building on what they’ve learned.

Halloween weekend is almost here, and whether you’re working a shift or enjoying some time off, Sparky’s Consulting & Tactics wants everyone to have a safe and memorable holiday!

For our security guards on duty, remember that costumes and props are part of the celebration. Pay attention to behavior and the situation, communicate calmly, and follow your training and site procedures. If something raises concern, keep a safe distance and notify the manager on duty. Call 911 for an immediate threat.

🔦 Don’t let gear failure haunt your shift! Take a few minutes before clocking in to inspect your equipment, check batteries and expiration dates, and make sure you have backups or replacements ready when needed.

🛡️ GUARDS: BE PREPARED BEFORE THE SHIFT STARTS.

Your equipment deserves the same attention as your training. These two graphics highlight considerations for your duty belt and body armor.

✅ DUTY GEAR: CAPACITY MATTERS
Know what you carry, how it works, and whether your holder keeps it secure and accessible. Canister size, contents, and delivery style matter—gel and foam have different characteristics, and a larger canister doesn’t guarantee a specific number of uses. Follow your training and company policy.

Need gear? MK-4 OC foam is available at our Denver office for $20, with nylon MK-4 holders available for $35.

✅ BODY ARMOR: FIT AND COVERAGE MATTER
Whether you’re considering a concealable vest or inserts for an existing carrier, check the exact armor model, protection rating, sizing, and compatibility before purchasing. Proper fit helps you maintain coverage while moving comfortably throughout your shift.

Remember: the soft armor options featured provide handgun protection—not r***e protection.
